General agencies are created by the General Conference and administer or carry out the programs and directives adopted by General Conference.
Between its session every four years, the General Conference tasks the Connectional Table with providing oversight and coordination of the church's mission, ministries, and resources.
In this role, the Connectional Table evaluates how effectively the general program-related agencies carry out the mission and ministry of the church as they work with annual conferences and local churches to fulfill the church's mission to make disciples for the transformation of the world.
