Communications Coordinator
As a key part of the ministry staff, the Communications Coordinator will work closely with the staff and lay leadership in supporting the ministry of the church. The South Santiam Circuit is a collaboration of Albany First UMC, Lebanon First UMC, and Sweet Home UMC seeking to love God and love neighbor. To that end, we are seeking a Communications Coordinator who is a self-starter, courteous, positive, and a professional part of the leadership of the church.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Reception Duties: Answering phone calls and emails
- Online Presence: Managing social media and websites
- Correspondence Handling: Preparing and distributing internal and external correspondence, including emails and letters.
- Worship Duties: making bulletins, PowerPoints, and worship design
- Project Support: Assisting with specific projects by providing administrative support as needed.
- Meetings remote or in person
Required skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Respect confidentiality.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency in Google Business Suite and Canva
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Professional demeanor and customer service skills
- Strong collaborative skills
Job Type: Part-time 10- 15 hours per week
Pay: $16 per hour
