Generous

Generosity stems from the recognition that all that we have is not ours, but God's.

In his sermon on "The Use of Money," John Wesley writes that we should, "'Render unto God,' not a tenth, not a third, not half, but all that is God's."

When it comes to generosity, we may find that when we freely give our time, talents, prayers and resources, we experience a fullness of joy.

In our recognition of how God has blessed us, let's strive to be cheerful givers of God's love. Joy awaits!

Teach me, O God, to be generous. Amen.

Let's talk about generosity. As Christians, we believe that all we have is a gift from God. Being grateful makes it easier to be a cheerful giver.
